INFANT CARE AT JASMINE’S KINGDOM DAYCARE IN GREECE, NY

Attentive Care for Babies from 3 to Under 18 Months

The first months of a child’s life are filled with rapid change, new experiences, and an increasing awareness of the people and world around them. Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare offers nurturing infant care in a comfortable home setting where babies can receive patient attention, follow responsive routines, and explore at their own pace.

Because Jenny personally provides care, families can communicate directly with the person responsible for their baby’s comfort, supervision, feeding routine, rest, and daily experiences. Infant care begins at approximately 3 months of age and is always subject to availability, enrollment requirements, and the program’s approved capacity.

A Calm, Responsive Beginning

Infants do not all eat, sleep, communicate, or reach milestones on the same schedule. Care should respond to the baby in front of us rather than force every infant into one rigid routine. Families are encouraged to share current feeding instructions, sleep patterns, comfort strategies, emerging skills, sensitivities, and changes at home that may affect their baby’s day.

Familiar voices, gentle conversation, patient caregiving, and consistent responses help create a reassuring daily experience. As an infant becomes more alert, mobile, and curious, activities and the surrounding space can be adjusted to match the child’s current abilities while maintaining attentive supervision.

What an Infant’s Day May Include

An infant’s day is built around care needs and short, age-appropriate periods of interaction and exploration. Depending on each baby’s age, development, health, and family instructions, the day may include:

Individual bottle or feeding routines
Supervised floor play and movement
Short periods of supervised tummy time while awake, when appropriate
Reaching, grasping, tracking, and exploring safe sensory materials
Songs, gentle music, conversation, and picture books
Time to observe and interact with the surrounding environment
Comfort, diapering, and rest throughout the day
Supervised fresh-air or outdoor time when weather and conditions allow

These experiences are not a checklist that every infant must complete. The length, pace, and timing of activities should follow the child’s cues and current needs.

Supporting Early Growth Through Everyday Care

Movement and Physical Exploration

Safe floor time gives babies opportunities to stretch, reach, roll, sit, crawl, and practice emerging movement skills when developmentally ready. Materials are selected with the child’s age and abilities in mind, and active exploration remains supervised.

Early Communication

Talking, singing, responding to sounds, naming familiar objects, and sharing simple books introduce babies to the rhythm and meaning of language. Even before words emerge, facial expressions, sounds, gestures, and movement give infants important ways to communicate.

Sensory Discovery

Babies learn through sight, sound, touch, and movement. Safe textures, soft toys, simple cause-and-effect experiences, and everyday interaction can encourage curiosity without overwhelming the child.

Comfort and Trust

Responsive care helps an infant learn that their needs will be noticed. A steady relationship with a familiar caregiver can make daily transitions more comfortable and supports the sense of security babies need while exploring.

Feeding, Rest, and Personal Care

Parents and guardians provide their infant’s formula or expressed breast milk, bottles, nipples, required feeding supplies, and current instructions. Every bottle and container must be labeled as required for safe storage, preparation, and use. Jenny and each family will also discuss solid foods, appropriate textures, feeding abilities, allergies, and the introduction of new foods as the child grows.

Infant rest will follow applicable childcare requirements and the family’s current instructions. Because sleep and feeding patterns can change quickly during infancy, parents should promptly share updated information.

Diapering and other personal-care needs are handled as part of the infant’s daily routine. Families should provide the supplies requested during enrollment and communicate any skin sensitivity, product restriction, medical instruction, or other special care need before the child’s first day and whenever it changes.

Read the complete Meals & Nutrition Policy.

Direct Communication with Families

Good infant care depends on good information. Families should feel comfortable sharing how their baby slept, when they last ate, changes in feeding, new foods, medication instructions handled through the applicable process, teething discomfort, illness symptoms, or any unusual behavior.

Jenny and the family will discuss how routine updates about feeding, rest, diapering, comfort, activities, and general well-being will be shared. During childcare hours, supervision and children’s immediate needs come first, so a call or text may not always receive an immediate response.

Is Infant Care a Possible Fit for Your Family?

Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare may be worth exploring if:

Your baby is at least approximately 3 months old and under 18 months old
You value a smaller home-daycare setting and a direct caregiver relationship
You want play and exploration to follow your baby’s development rather than a rigid academic schedule
You are prepared to provide required infant feeding and personal-care supplies
You can communicate changes in feeding, sleep, health, and comfort needs promptly
Your requested care schedule falls within Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

An inquiry or tour request does not guarantee enrollment. Availability depends on age, schedule, capacity, completion of required documents, and whether the program can appropriately meet the child’s needs.

Parent Questions About Infant Care

Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare welcomes infants beginning at approximately 3 months of age. Enrollment remains subject to availability, required documentation, and the program’s approved age and capacity limits.

Yes. Parents and guardians provide formula or expressed breast milk, bottles, nipples, feeding supplies, and current preparation and feeding instructions. Required labels must be complete and legible.

No single schedule fits every baby. Feeding, rest, comfort, and activity periods are planned around each infant’s current needs while also allowing care to operate safely and consistently in a home-daycare setting.

Tell Jenny about changes in feeding, sleep, new foods, allergies, medication or medical instructions, comfort needs, and development as soon as possible. The communication method and required written documentation can be reviewed before care begins.

Choosing infant care is a deeply personal decision. A conversation and tour can help you learn about the home setting, discuss your baby’s routine, ask questions, and determine whether Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare may be a suitable match for your family.
