Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare is committed to dependable care, clear communication, and the safety of every child. Occasionally, an illness, emergency, unsafe condition, or another event may make it necessary to delay opening, close early, or close for a full day. This policy explains what families can expect when care is unavailable.
Provider unavailability means Jenny cannot safely or legally provide care because of illness, injury, a family emergency, a required appointment or training, or another unavoidable circumstance.
A program closure means Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare cannot operate for part or all of a scheduled care day. Reasons may include provider unavailability, severe weather, a power or utility failure, unsafe building conditions, evacuation, a public-health direction, a licensing or regulatory direction, or another emergency affecting safe operation.
Planned holidays, vacations, training days, or other scheduled closures will be communicated as far in advance as reasonably possible. The current closure calendar and any applicable payment terms will be provided to enrolled families and reflected in the Parent Handbook or signed enrollment agreement.
If Jenny becomes unexpectedly unavailable, families will be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Unless a qualified substitute is approved, permitted, and available under the program’s official requirements, the daycare will close. Children will not be transferred to an unapproved caregiver.
Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare may delay opening, close early, or close for the day when travel or operating conditions are unsafe. Decisions may consider severe-weather warnings, road conditions, school or local emergency information, loss of heat, water, electricity, or another condition that affects safe care.
Because conditions may differ by location, a daycare decision may not always match a particular school district’s closing decision.
Families will normally be notified by text message and/or phone. When possible, the notice will include:
Families are responsible for keeping parent, guardian, and emergency-contact information current.
If the daycare must close after children have arrived, a parent, guardian, or authorized emergency contact must arrange prompt pickup. Children will remain supervised until released to an authorized adult in accordance with the daycare’s pickup procedures.
Families are responsible for arranging backup childcare for any closure, delayed opening, early closing, or period when care is unavailable. Jasmine’s Kingdom Daycare cannot guarantee substitute or alternate care.
Payments for children receiving child care assistance are administered under the rules of the applicable government program and administering agency. Depending on the family’s authorization, a family may also be responsible for a required parent share or another amount not covered by the program.
A scheduled closure, emergency closure, provider-unavailability closure, or child absence does not automatically result in a credit or refund. Any payment, credit, refund, repayment, or other adjustment will be handled according to the applicable program rules and agency determination. Any amount paid directly by a family will be handled under the signed enrollment and payment agreement, subject to applicable law.
When government-program requirements apply, they control over this website summary. Families with questions about subsidy authorizations, parent shares, or agency-issued payment adjustments should contact their caseworker or the agency administering their child care assistance.
Care will resume when Jenny can safely provide care and the home daycare environment is safe and permitted to operate. Families will be notified when a reopening time is confirmed. Please do not bring a child to the daycare until reopening has been confirmed.
